Classics for Christmas
Experience the magic of the season with Musica Sacra at Carnegie Hall. Acclaimed soprano Kathryn Lewek joins for the “Glory to God” sequence and “Rejoice greatly” from Messiah, and sings Adolphe Adam’s beloved Cantique de Noël. Metropolitan Opera harpist Mariko Anraku is featured in a performance of Handel’s Concerto for Harp in B-flat Major.
This festive evening includes glorious choral selections from Bach’s Mass in B Minor and Rachmaninoff’s Vespers, plus beautiful choral and orchestral works by Corelli, Poulenc, Helena Paish, and Randall Thompson.
